Purpose of the research
There is still much to be learned about the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee and its host plants, and your observations can help us better understand where the bee still exists, which plants it forages, and how we can best support this species and prevent it from going extinct. Stay tuned for research updates.

Tips for taking bee photos
1. Have your camera ready and wait until the bee lands on a flower.
2. If the bee is moving, take a video and then screenshot or isolate an image to upload to iNaturalist.
3. Try to capture images of several angles of the bee. These details will help with identification.
